Learn the basics of Jane Austen's novels before turning a single page.
Join in the conversation on some of literature's greatest books!
I'm a classroom teacher that loves teaching
other people to love books -- so this course comes very naturally for
me.
In the classroom, a teacher
builds "scaffolding" to help his/her students understand the material.
In construction, scaffolding is a temporary structure used to support
people and material while the real structure is being built.
THIS CLASS IS YOUR SCAFFOLDING!
My
course won't replace the literary richness that you will find in a Jane
Austen novel, but it will help you build your understanding of her
writing in under 60 minutes.
I often encounter people who want to read the Classics, but
don't have the confidence or the time to crack the cover of many great
books.
"I love the movie, but I haven't read the book."
I hear people say that they haven't read these books because:
- "I'm too busy"
- "The story seems confusing"
- "The book is REALLY long"
